My next book, “LSD and Beyond: How Being a Research Subject Transformed My Life” has moved to a new stage. It’s left my Windows computer, where I write, to my old Mac, where I use a Mac-only formatting program called Vellum. I’ve got the photos already on the Mac and soon will install them. This book will be black-and-white only, and the photos are about my life in Europe which wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t taken LSD in that research program.
It’s always thrilling to be getting close to the end of a book. What’s next? I’m already thinking of tales for “Science Fiction Daughter,” the account of life with my father, science fiction writer Cordwainer Smith. One I’m really excited about is the one after that, “I Fell in Love with a Hippie.”
